A description of the program is below:

Many of the Old Testament Scriptures predict the birth of Christ as well as His life, death, and
resurrection. This musical highlights several of the best-known prophecies and shows how they
were perfectly fulfilled when Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. It also traces His life, death on
the cross, and His resurrection.

BORN THE KING has ten songs for choir, one for men’s group and one for ladies. It is written
for four-part choir with some optional parts here and there. The program is written for two
narrators, a man and a woman. It is meant to be done in Readers’ Theater format. The length of
the program is 45 minutes.

Our prayer is that, through this program, people will see how God planned for the most
wonderful event of all time…the birth of His Son, the Savior of the world! The fulfillment of the
prophecies of old makes Christ the perfect Redeemer for lost men. We trust many will turn to
Him and be encouraged through the performance of this cantata.
